So Cassie is getting switched into a new class. She will have a female homeroom teacher now instead of the one male for the 7/8 classes.
I have been reading this story someone is writing. They are quite great at writing it, except for the spelling mistakes. It is an adult fiction. They update their story with new chapters every couple months from what I can tell, they already have 79 chapters and I really love it. I hope they continue to write and let us know about what is going on with certain characters.

This novel is set in the future, it's about how in the Safe Lands, they can't have healthy children, they all have this disease. In a village by the Safe Lands they are all healthy and can have healthy children but are forced into arranged marriages. Omar arranges with the Safe Lands enforcers to try and help his town move into the Safe Lands where he believes it will be better for them all.....
Very interesting book. This book grabs your attention and it is hard to pull yourself away from it once you have begun to read.
I will be posting more on this later on

Book Description
One choice could destroy them all.
When eighteen-year-old Levi returned from Denver City with his latest scavenged finds, he never imagined he’d find his village of Glenrock decimated, loved ones killed, and many---including his fiancée, Jem---taken captive. Now alone, Levi is determined to rescue what remains of his people, even if it means entering the Safe Lands, a walled city that seems anything but safe.
Omar knows he betrayed his brother by sending him away, but helping the enforcers was necessary. Living off the land and clinging to an outdated religion holds his village back. The Safe Lands has protected people since the plague decimated the world generations ago … and its rulers have promised power and wealth beyond Omar’s dreams.
Meanwhile, their brother Mason has been granted a position inside the Safe Lands, and may be able to use his captivity to save not only the people of his village, but also possibly find a cure for the virus that threatens everyone within the Safe Lands’ walls.
Will Mason uncover the truth hidden behind the Safe Lands’ façade before it’s too late?

.......?
So my daughter has a friend Emily, they are in the same class together. Their teacher is Emily's cousin. Cassie said that Emily texted her that she had sex with him. I don't know if the girl was lying or not. Apparently Cassie told Satara and gave her Emily's number (which she thought Satara already had) and now the shit hit the fan. Cops are involved.
The principal asked Cassie not to talk about it. When the kids asked her, she started talking about it when she was told not to. The principal asked us to keep her home for a couple days while he looks into it. The teacher that Emily accused doesn't want to teach Cassie so the principal isn't sure what to do. (We come to find out that the teacher is apparently Emilyès uncle.... so yeah something weird there)

Doon - (A Doon Novel 1)
By Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon

Veronica keeps seeing and hearing this blond boy around her age who is wearing a kilt, but no one else seems to see him when they go to look he is gone. She goes to Scotland with her friend Mackenna, where she sees the boy there again a few different times. Mackenna Aunt Gracie has left Mackenna some instructions that are hidden away which she eventually finds and the girls put them to the test. Mackenna doesn't believe it will work but Veronica does. When the instructions work, they find themselves in Doon........only reading the book will tell you whether that is a good or bad thing! Hope that intrigues you enough.
The book reads in the first person, switching between Veronica and Mackenna. I think it is good to go that so you are being kept up to date with them both, but I am also glad there wasn't more than the two aspects cause it can get confusing.
When I was reading this I hadn't realized that it was going to be a series. When it ended I was dying to read more and was worried that was it, but I was and am glad that there is another. The next novel is actually due out in September this year, so I won't have to wait too long.
This was an awesome read and was glad I chose it over some of the others books I had seen.

Book Description Veronica doesn’t think she’s going crazy. But why can’t anyone else see the mysterious blond boy who keeps popping up wherever she goes? When her best friend, Mackenna, invites her to spend the summer in Scotland, Veronica jumps at the opportunity to leave her complicated life behind for a few months. But the Scottish countryside holds other plans. Not only has the imaginary kilted boy followed her to Alloway, she and Mackenna uncover a strange set of rings and a very unnerving letter from Mackenna’s great aunt---and when the girls test the instructions Aunt Gracie left behind, they find themselves transported to a land that defies explanation. Doon seems like a real-life fairy tale, complete with one prince who has eyes for Mackenna and another who looks suspiciously like the boy from Veronica’s daydreams. But Doon has a dark underbelly as well. The two girls could have everything they’ve longed for… or they could end up breaking an enchantment and find themselves trapped in a world that has become a nightmare.

Laryngitis?
Today started of great.
My Aunt gave me some random goodies.
Our dietician gave us a good food box free (it wasn't picked up yesterday by the person who paid for it).
My book that I will read and write a review came in.
But now I seem to be losing my voice, for no reason what-so-ever. It is very weird it feels like there is Flem there in my throat and I keep wanting to clear it. So I looked up the causes and here is info in case it happens to others.
Noninfectious causes
Acid reflux disease, resulting in laryngitis gastrica
Allergies
Excessive coughing[citation needed], smoking, or alcohol consumption
Inflammation due to overuse of the vocal cords
Prolonged use of inhaled corticosteroids for asthma treatment
Thermal or chemical burns
Laryngeal trauma, including iatrogenic one caused by endotracheal intubation
Infectious causes
Viral infections can be caused by rhinovirus, influenza virus, parainfluenza virus, adenovirus, coxsackievirus, coronavirus, and RSV.
Bacterial infections can be caused by group A streptococcus, streptococcus pneumoniae, C. diphtheriae, M. catarrhalis, haemophilus influenzae, bordetella pertussis, bacillus anthracis, and M. tuberculosis. Bacterial infections usually follow pre-existing viral infection.
Fungal infections can be caused by Histoplasma, Blastomyces, Candida (especially in immunocompromised persons), and rarely by Cryptococcus and Coccidioides.

Make makeup with crayons (safe to use)
I have even used the lipstick remdey on my cheeks and eyes, but this may not be safe for others. I do love using the lipstick though.
Make lipstick with crayons
Basic Ingredients:
- Petroleum jelly (Vaseline)
- A crayon, any colour you like
Optional ingredients:
-Vitamin E oil/gel cap
Tools:
-Small travel jars (can be purchased at a dollar store) or empty makeup containers to store your lipstick
-Small knife
-Spoon
-Microwaveable bowl, preferably ceramic or glass
-Microwave
-Oven mitts
-Stirring stick
Instructions: 1. Remove the paper from the crayon, then using your knife, cut the crayon in half and put one half away.
2. Finely chop the crayon, and place the bits into the bowl.
3. Spoon out 1 teaspoon of petroleum jelly into the bowl, then mix it with the bits of crayon. Optional: Add a few drops of Vitamin E oil or use the knife to cut a slit into the gel cap and squeeze the oil in. This will provide extra softness and shine.
4. Put the mixture into the microwave for 3 minutes or until it is melted. Carefully take the bowl out with your oven mitts on; the bowl will be hot!
5. Act fast, or the mixture will harden! Take your stirring stick and mix well, then spoon the liquid lipstick into your container. Wait a few seconds until the mixture hardens, then apply your new lipstick! Tip: you may need to rub your lips together a couple more times than with store-bought lipstick to evenly disperse the product.
Make Eye Shadow Using Crayons
Things You'll Need
Mortar and pestle
Sealable plastic bag
Wooden mallet or rolling pin
Miniature herb grinder
Clean, dry towel
Several small bowls
Powder binder
Spoon
Old eye shadow tray or small container
Instructions
1. Purchase the nontoxic color crayons you want to use. Grind each individual color down in a mortar and pestle. You can also put the crayons in a sealable plastic bag and pound them with a wooden mallet or crush them with a rolling pin.
2. Pour the ground crayon into the miniature herb grinder to reduce the grounds into a fine powder. Put the powder into a bowl. Grind one color at a time, and put the powder into separate bowls. Make sure to wipe the grinder down after each use with a clean, dry towel.
3. Experiment with different color combinations by mixing small amounts of ground powder into the grinder. Once you have the desired shade, inspect the mixture for any color streaks. Continue grinding the mixture until streaks disappear.
4. Pour the mixture into a clean bowl, and spray it with powder binder. Use a spoon to mix the binder until you have formed a paste.
5. Press the mixture into an old eye shadow tray or other small container using the back of a spoon. Allow the eye shadow to dry before using it.

Homemade Play Dough
Play Dough Recipe:
1 cup white flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tablespoon cream of tartar (find it in the spice section)
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup water
food coloring
Mix first 4 ingredients in a pan. Add water and mix well. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 3 – 5 minutes. Dough will become difficult to stir and form a “clump”. Remove from stove and knead for 5 minutes–add food coloring during kneading process. Play dough will keep for a long time stored in a covered plastic container or plastic sandwich bag.
This amount of play dough this recipe produced was perfect. Each of my 4 kids received a huge clump of play dough, so there was lots to share. Also, a great tip with Fall around the corner – add cinnamon to the dry ingredients (as much as you want until you get the right scent). It produces a magical smell that transports you to a world of pumpkin patches, colored leaves, and windy days.

The Hunger Games - Catching Fire
Me and Cassie watched this together and loved it, and now we can't wait to watch the third one (though it pisses me off that they take the third book and are making 2 movies, but oh well). I have read the whole series twice and it is still very interesting.
I have to say I sometimes get pretty mad when there are some great things missed in the movie(s) that were in the book. There was quite a few things that were taken out and quite a bit that was CHANGED, which is stupid to do.
This story/movie is about how the Quarter Quell changes everything. It shows how the Capitol is ALWAYS in control no matter what happens.
WARNING:
THIS POST BELOW TELLS OF SPOILERS FOR BOTH BOOK AND MOVIE
This 75th Annual Hunger Games (named The Quarter Quell) is a special one just like every other 25 years is. But this time the Capitol is taking it a little bit father. Instead of making the people of each District choose their children to go into the Hunger Games, they Capitol has decided that instead all victors male and female from each District must be chosen from. So poor Katniss, being the only female in District winner in 12 is guaranteed that she will have to go back in.
Description
The film begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

Like Moonlight at Low Tide
This was a great read. I was quite surprised and happy at the way it ended. I thought it was going one way and it took me in a different direction, for which I am glad. Once I began to read it was hard to put the book down so I could get things done.
Melissa Keiser is 16 and she is returning to her hometown she grew up in and was made fun of. She dreads returning to face her tormentors again. When she returns, she is surprised by the good attention that she gets. Sh can't believe her luck has changed for the better.
This book definitely draws you in with the emotional power of her feelings. It is described very well so that you can know exactly What she is thinking and feeling.

Happy New Years
Taylor went home today, offered her a ride but she said she wanted to walk. She said she would come back later on, but we figured she wouldn't be, cause of what today is. We were right, she never came back. Sydney was supposed to come over tonight but finally got a hold of us later and said she couldn't make it, but maybe Friday.
Made a Turkey dinner, potatoes, corn, dressing, gravy. Had a chocolate cream pie for dessert. It all tasted quite good.
Watched the first Hunger Games today (I also had just finished reading the first and started reading the second novel in the series). Likely going to watch the second one tomorrow.
