Invasion (C.H.A.O.S., #1)
By Jon Lewis
Published by Thomas Nelson
This is the first book.
This book is about.....
It starts out with Colt visiting a Military academy that he can't join until he is 18, but that he was invited to tour it. Only he can get the tour (meaning his father nor any other family/friends can be with him). But his 7 brothers before him had the tour as well.
Here are the brothers that are introduced
(that i can remember):
Colt is the youngest of the 8 brothers.
Clive is the oldest brother.
Clayton lives in Berlin.
Clark has 5 kids of his own.
Murdoch McAlister is the Grandfather.
This book brings comic book type characters alive within the story. It has very good details and explanations. I love how it kind of leaves you wondering what is next at the end, I can't wait to read the second book!
I think this is a great story and that anyone who likes fiction books, will love this story.
Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Thomas Nelson publishers as part of their book review bloggers program. All opinions expressed are my own, and I was not required to write a positive review.
Book Description
Colt McAlister is drawn into a war against things he thought only existed in comic books.
After a car wreck takes the lives of his parents, Colt moves to Arizona to stay with his grandfather. There, an informant tells him that his parents were actually murdered because his mom, a journalist, was getting ready to write a story exposing Trident Industries.
Along with Oz and Danielle, his new comrades at Chandler High, Colt vows to uncover the truth. But the more they learn, the more bizarre reality becomes. Mind control, jet packs, and flying motorcycles only scratch the surface of what they discover.
Colt is recruited by a secret organization called the Central Headquarters Against the Occult and Supernatural. But the battle isn't just against an out-of-control giant corporation. A gateway to another world is opening, and the invasion has already begun.
