Darkness Awakening (Awakened, #2)

Written by Lisa M. Green

Interesting continuation of the series. This book does a great job on wrapping up some of the loose ends left from the first book, not all of course cause that would mean there would be no need for another book, which I look forward to reading sometime. I stayed up till 3 am saying just one more page each couple pages.

This book follows more of Aurianna with a few peaks into Leon, which kinda surprised me, his few chapters gives a little view into what his home life is, which is unpleasant to say the least amount on that, which you can read to find out more about.

Aurianna goes back to her time and sees nothing has changed and doesn't understand why, she stopped the event....right? Welp, in comes Pharis to again drag her back to "fulfill the prophecy" and again neither understand why it had to be him again.

The ending had some shocking events, and one of the things that is said literally at the end is kind of a cliffhangar itself to make you wonder what it means, but check it out and see for yourself.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily, and in my own words and opinions.

She might be the savior. But time is literally counting on her.

Dawn Rising (Awakened, #1)

Written by Lisa M. Green

This was a great book, it has many layers to it, like an onion as you read more gets revealed. It leaves on a cliffhanger making you want to know what else is to come. I really enjoyed this book, it has lots of explanations in it, and descriptions which is good to help you get a picture of the scenes unfolding.

The book follows Aurianna and Pharis, but mostly just Aurianna. Aurianna is told that she is destined to save the world, that she has powers she will need to train to use. Pharis comes to the future to pick her up, and at the time she isnt fully aware of why since her "Aunt" had only just told her something (which I will let you read and find out what). Pharis is annoyed that his father sends him on this mission which he has no reason why it had to be him and not some one else, but that is to be revealed at a later time.

I can't wait to see what else there is in store for these two, in the series to come.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Of Thorns and Beauty (Twisted Pages #1)

Written by Elle Madison & Robin D. Mahle

I loved this new twist on Beauty and the Beast. The way the author keeps you twisting and turning on what is going on within the castle and why Zaina acts how she does is great. I didn't want to put the book down to go to sleep, it took me ages to put it down.

The book follows Zaina as she goes through with marrying someone who she has never seen, and who hasnt seen her. The night that follows the wedding was quite interesting. As the days pass in the book and Zaina's character gets developed you see different sides within her and her husband. I don't want to say too much more but if you like re-written Fairy tales with completely different outlooks, I definitely suggest this book.

It ends on such a cliff hangar, that I can't wait to read more.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily with my own wordings on how I enjoyed the book.

Book Description:

"You think you know the tale as old as time, but you’ve already got it wrong.
There never was a beauty and a beast, only a girl who was both.
And that girl was me."

Zaina will never be free.

She's forced into an arranged marriage to a Viking King in a castle full of secrets. But she carries secrets of her own, and the scars of her haunted past.

Handed off from one monster to another, she has no choice but to do her best to survive and protect her sisters.

Even if it costs her everything.

A Beauty and the Beast retelling you won’t want to miss, where nothing is what it seems and time is running out.

Birth of the Sand Viper: Origins of Jafar (Dark Immortal Flames, #0.5)

Written by: LaSasha Flame
Narrated by: Matyas J.

This was quite an interesting story. Showing the backstory of Jafar and how he became the man he is in the Aladin books / movies.

Its not a very long book so I dont want to say too much to give things away. But I think many people will enjoy it. The descriptions contained within this book are very detailed to keep you knowing what is going on.

The narrator does a great job bringing this book out. His tones going up and down in all the right areas.

I am glad to have been able to get this book. I got it free in and am leaving an honest review of my thoughts on it.

Book Description:

As a fan of the fairy tale retellings, LaSasha is very excited to announce this short story she just released!

LaSasha has a paranormal romance thirteen book series in the works and one of those stories will be a retelling of Aladdin with a naughty twist. This short story will serve as a prequel to the main book in the series.

Find out what happened to make Jafar the ultimate bad boy?

Christmas Freebies in 2020

So it is getting to that time again when people start getting ready for the coming Season. I thought I would compile some things that people may like to use. I am adding in pictures of what it is underneath cause just a lot of typing looks too boring in my opinion, and seeing what you will go to look at through these links seemed to be a better way to convey what's there.

So the first thing I was thinking of was a personalized video from santa and the one I found looks quite cute from this website here . There is a free option as well as paid options. Now I haven't tested it just yet because my daughter is too old for these, but I will still be testing it.

For those who like to make and personalize Christmas cards I found a cute site where it has that and more here .

I seen these cute templates you can print out for your child to fill in for Santa Here .

Phone call from Santa himself. So there is so many ways to have this happen, I am going to list a couple:
The first of which is one where you do not need a cellphone for. If you go here . You can choose to have a call come from Santa or The Elf and then there are 4 other options "Be Good" , "On My List" , "Something Special" , "Sweet Dreams". This is not personalized to your child but it can be something if you don't have a cell phone to use.

Now this was a hard call to chose between the multiple apps out there, but when I seen this one with so many options I thought I would pass it on Here , you can get it for iPhone or Android .

I hope these help people out during the coming season. I know I will be using some of them. a

Crazy Dangerous

By Andrew Klaven
Published by Thomas Nelson

This is a great read, i can really feel the pressure he is getting from the other children. This book is a great read for young adult and adults. I throuhgly enjoyed reading this book and hope to read more like it.

This book is about how Sam Hopkins (a preachers kid) is sick of being treated differently and falls into the wrong crowd. He realizes he needs to break away from them but is unsure how. Until a girl (Jennifer) is almost beaten up by them. He saves her, and gets many hit, punches, and kicks for it. Now she seems to think that he is her friend and his name is magical (she has schizophrenia, or so every believes). Jennifer tells Sam that something very bad is going to happen and soon, she told him of her this tree with a lake (and later he realizes he knows where it is). On Sunday, she later figures out and tells him, the bad thing will happen on Sunday.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Thomas Nelson publishers as part of their book review bloggers program. All opinions expressed are my own, and I was not required to write a positive review.

Book Description

"You probably want to hear about Jennifer and the demons and how I played chicken with a freight train and—oh yeah—the weird murder . . . you're definitely going to want to hear about that."

Sam Hopkins is a good kid who has fallen in with a bad crowd. Hanging around with car thieves and thugs, Sam knows it’s only a matter of time before he makes one bad decision too many and gets into real trouble.

But one day, Sam sees them harassing an eccentric schoolmate of his named Jennifer. When Sam finds the courage to face the bullies down, he loses a bad set of friends and acquires a very strange new one.

Because Jennifer is not just eccentric. To Sam, she seems downright crazy. She has terrifying hallucinations involving demons and the devil and death. And here’s the really crazy part: Sam is beginning to suspect that these visions may actually be prophecies—prophecies of something terrible that’s going to happen very soon. Unless he can stop it.

With no one to believe him, with no one to help him, Sam is now all alone in a race against time. Finding the truth before disaster strikes is going to be both crazy and very, very dangerous.

Beautifully Broken (New York Misfits, #1)

>
by Emory

I received a free copy of this e-book free and am giving it an honest review, for my thoughts.

__________________________________________________________________________________

Book Description:

Two years ago, I didn’t know I had a stalker. The cops swore my fiancĂ©’s murder was random. But the way the murderer looked at me behind his mask didn’t feel random. I know the cops are wrong, but they won't help me. That murderer; I feel like he’s been watching me for a long time, hiding in plain sight as I go about my broken life. Living with fear and anxiety is hard, but things are about to get a lot harder. "Beautifully Broken" is a gripping, contemporary romantic thriller that will keep you guessing.

Older Book Description:

Hey Siri, record a voice memo. Hi, my name is Paisley. These will probably be my last words so, here goes. Right now, I’m hiding in the bathroom. I’m sorry I’m whispering but I’ve got to be quiet; I think someone is trying to break in. I don’t know why, but lately, I swear I’m being watched. Someone is lurking, waiting for the right moment to hurt me. Why? Your guess is as good as mine; I live alone thanks to the man who murdered my fiancĂ© two years ago. I don’t date because I fear I’m too broken now, and my anxiety is too much to handle. I have one best friend who hasn’t kicked my paranoid ass to the curb. And my coworkers love me, probably because I’m always covering their shifts. Oh my gosh, here I am rambling when these could be the last words I ever speak. Ugh, I really am a mess! Anyways, who would want me dead? Ah I can hardly breath. My heart is pounding, I can’t even see straight, my breaths are growing more ragged by the second. Please don’t come in. Just leave me alone.
