Free Items of all kinds

I know I have posted about this site years and years ago, but I figure for those who didnt see and know my blog from back then should have a chance to know about this site.

The site is called Listia and in this site there are the most random of items (sorta like ebay) and you can bid credits on them. These you can get for free (by watching videos, doing surveys, etc) or by buying them with real money, or selling your own things on the site.

This is the site here:
Listia

If you do sign up i would really appreciate it if you used my code to say that i sent you to the website, code is BCHMJD.

I have had my account since Nov 18, 2010, but while I do not use it much no longer I did quite a bit back then for a couple years.

Although I will be honest, I dont think it is as good now as it used to be but it is still worth checking out.

DIY Henna Tattoo

Your first step of course is to make a Henna paste. To do this you will need to do the following steps.

Step 1: What You Will Need
What You Will Need>:

• Fresh henna powder
• Lemon juice
• Sugar
• Essential oils (I used tea tree)
• Non-metal mixing bowl and spoon
• Plastic wrap
• ZipLock bag
• Decorating tip
• Rubbing alcohol
• Olive oil
• Mild soap
• Tape
• Scissors

Optional:
• Gloves for handling henna
• Henna bottle applicator kit (I found these on ebay)

Step 2: Measure Out 1/4 Cup of Sifted Henna Powder Into a Bowl
• Buy henna with a greenish-brown tint
o Too brown=old henna and won’t leave a good stain
o Too green=may have added dye to make it look fresh when it really isn’t
• Store leftover powder in the freezer to stay fresh
• Vary the amount of henna you make to the size of your design
• Sift henna to get rid of chunks that could clog the applicator tip

Step 3: Add ¼ Cup of Lemon Juice While Stirring
If needed add additional lemon juice until the consistency is between toothpaste and pudding
• If substance appears too thick after adding lemon juice, Slowly add additional lemon juice to avoid getting too runny
• Smash all lumps beginning to form while stirring

Step 4: Stir in 1 ½ Tsp. of Sugar and 1 ½ Tsp. of Essential Oil
• Use oils that contain terpinols (I used tea tree)
• After adding in oil and sugar the texture should be silky

Step 5: Cover Henna With Plastic Wrap
Rest for 24 hours at room temperature to draw the dye out of the henna
-The henna should appear similar to the last step
-Possibly will appear a little thicker

Step 6: Once the Henna Has Set, Scoop Out the Dye Into Your Applicator
a. I washed out a tip from an old decorating gel tube,
b. cut the corner of a Ziploc bag,
c. and placed the tube into the bag
d. Tape the bag around the tube to secure
e. Spoon out henna into the applicator
Either use henna immediately, or freeze until use

Step 7: Wash Skin With Soap and Water
• If skin is oily, apply additional rubbing alcohol

Step 8: Position Your Tip Over Skin

• Use proper protection when using henna: it will stain skin and clothes

Step 9: 3. Create Your Design!
Hands and feet stain darker
a. Websites to view design options
i. http://slodive.com/inspiration/henna-tattoo-designs/
ii. http://pinterest.com/ladybird66/henna-tattoo-designs/
b. Apply pressure gently until you get a feel of how fast the henna will come out
c. Clip the tip back if it does not come out well enough
d. I would recommend staying away from central body parts that don’t stain as easily
Step 10: Let Design Dry
• Cracking of the henna is a good thing

Step 11: Wrap Your Design With Plastic Wrap
Keep covered for at least 10 hours

Step 12: Add Olive Oil to Design After Unwrapping

Step 13: Remove Excess Flakes With a Mild Soap and Water
• Gently blot design when removing the excess flakes after it has dried so you don’t shorten the life of the design
• The design will turn from a lighter orange shade into a reddish/brown shade within 12 hours of removing flakes

And that completes how to make your very own hanna tattoo.

i found the info on this here: (but i did add my own info to it, and my own pictures will be in here)

Free products to try, no hidden fee

So on this website Social Nature, you can sign up in Canada and USA to try to get certain free products, the products are posted and it will show what County it is available for. I will say it is more geared for USA residents than it is for Canadians (sadly it is not equal). But all in all it is still an interesting website that has some neat products for testing.

Here is a pic of right now, just some of the products available: (though as you will notice when you check the site out there is 1 it that will go to Canada and 13 that will go to USA)

These products are all free, there is no hidden costs, no shipping fee, nothing. It is just a free sample of a product you put wanted on that you want to try out. It gives you the chance to test a product, see if you like it, and if you do to buy it!!

Social Nature

So this is a product i signed up for and was approved to test out. I have issues sleeping (both staying asleep and sometimes falling asleep) so it was a good trial for me.

My review:

I got this late in the mail cause of the mail strike, I have tried it and it seems to help me sleep a bit better through the night. It has been one of the better night sleeps I have had in ages. If you have problems sleeping through the night with many wake ups for no real reason, or having issues trying to get to sleep, I suggest trying this product out.

Cheap or Free Steam games - Humble Bundle

Do you like playing games? I know I do. I like playing a lot of different Steam games like Rust, Final Fantasy 10, Fable, and many more games. Do you want a legit site that is not a scam? I know I looked in many places and this seems to be the very best top of the line site for cheap and sometimes free Steam games.

There is one website that puts these games on sale very often. They sometimes have free games on steam for 48 hours many different times, if I get enough requests I can try to post them, when they become available, on this blog.

They also have a monthly bundle that is $12 a month (if you pay by the month) and with this money they will give you 1-2 early unlock games right away that equal at least 2-3 times the amount than the $12 you paid, and then you will get a bunch more when the bundle fully comes out (it releases and starts a new bundle the same day which is the first week of the month).

On top of that they have tiered bundles that change up every 2 weeks or so. Some game bundles, book bundles, software bundles etc. It is a very worth-while site that could never let you down if you give it half a chance and watch for the good deals.

Feel free to click this link and check it out, trust me it is worth, I buy games there all the time:
Humble Bundle

Below is the Bundle for December that gives you these games first and that fully unlocks Dec 7th

These are past bundles that you cant get now but it just shows how worthwhile paying the $12 a month is:

I will say there are other sites that you can get games from:

Fanatical is another ok one, its not the best mind you, but there are some good deals that pop up on that site as well, for steam.

G2A is another site that you can get steam codes on, its .... so-so, definitely more expensive than both the other 2 sites above, but it has the random keys that can be good for starting out a collection (just know most of those keys will be worth $1-$5)

Other than these 3 sites I haven't tested others and without testing I will not recommend them cause I wouldn't know if they were a scam or not.

Broken Wings (Angel Eyes, #2)

By Shannon Dittemore

Average Blogger Rating: 4.5

Awesome book, love the series so far. The ending leaves you in suspense for the next novel. I can't wait to read it. I could not put the book down, and the few times i did, it took a lot of effort to drag me away and during those times i was thinking of the story and how it may go in my mind.

This book continues the story about Brielle and Jake. In the books description it gives you a very straight forward idea of what the book will be about. I think everyone could enjoy this book, and would recommend they try it out!

Book Description

Angels with wings of blade. Demons with renewed sight. And a girl who has never been more broken.

Brielle has begun to see the world as it really is, a place where angels intermingle with humans. But just when she thinks she’s got things under control, the life she’s pieced together begins to crumble.

Her boyfriend, Jake, is keeping something from her. Something important.

And her overprotective father has turned downright hostile toward Jake. Brielle fears she’ll have to choose between the man who’s always loved her and the one who’s captured her heart.

Then she unearths the truth about her mother’s death and the nightmare starts. Brielle begins seeing visions of mysterious and horrible things.

What she doesn’t know is that she’s been targeted. The Prince of Darkness himself has heard of the boy with healing in his hands and of the girl who saw through the Terrestrial veil. When he pulls the demon Damien from the fiery chasm and sends him back to Earth with new eyes, the stage is set for the ultimate battle of good versus evil.

Brielle has no choice. She must master the weapons she’s been given. She must fight.

But can she fly with broken wings?

Angel Eyes (Angel Eyes, #1)

By Shannon Dittemore
Published by Thomas Nelson
(Angel Eyes Trilogy #1)
1st book by this author

I really enjoyed reading this book. It is written in the first person for each chapter (For whoevers name is at the beginning of the chapter, it does alternate between 3 people, but mostly it is Brielle ). Brielle went away to the city and a tragedy struck, she blames herself for it. She feels cold all the time and can never seem to warm up. Jake is a new guy who has recently moved there, he starts school the same day Brielle goes back. Every time he is in the same class as Brille, she seems to warm up more.

I would recommend this read to teenagers and young adults. Even me as an adult have thoroughly enjoyed it. This book has Angels and Demons, a spiritual battle, death, a different realm, and many other enjoyable tidbits.

I look forward to the other 2 books in this series

Book Description
Once you’ve seen, you can’t unsee.
Brielle went to the city to chase her dreams and found tragedy instead. She’s come home to shabby little Stratus, Oregon, to live with her grief and her guilt . . . and an incredible, numbing cold she can’t seem to shake.
Jake’s the new guy at school. The boy next door with burning hands and an unbelievable gift that targets him for corruption.
Something more than fate has brought them together. An evil bigger than both of them lurks in the shadows nearby, hiding in plain sight. Two angels stand guard, unsure what’s going to happen. And a beauty brighter than either Brielle or Jake has ever seen is calling them to join the battle in a realm where all human choices begin.
A realm that only angels and demons—and Brielle—can perceive.
